Health Care & Nursing Scholarships 

Listed below are the descriptions and requirements for each individual scholarship. Each Scholarship fund has ranked, in order of scoring importance, the eligibility criteria specific to that fund.

The Eileen J. Smith, R.N. Memorial Scholarship  

The Eileen J. Smith, R. N. Memorial Scholarship was established by Eileen's husband and children. Eileen was a friendly generous person. This scholarship is a reminder of the passion and dedication she had for helping others.  

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA:  Interviews may be required

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:  $1,000

SCHOLARSHIP USE:  Tuition, books, or other academic fees 

Paul Tejada Memorial Scholarship (previous recipients can apply for renewal scholarships in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th consecutive years of school)  

The Paul Tejada Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Paul Tejada, former President of W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital. Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college or university to major in health services administration, nursing or human medicine. 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:  $1,500, More than one scholarship may be awarded

SCHOLARSHIP USE:  Tuition, books, fees, dormitory room and/or board      

Sue Walicki Nursing Scholarship (previous recipients can apply through the regular application process)

The Sue Walicki Nursing Scholarship was established by Sue's husband, Richard Walicki, and father, Jim Winter, in honor of the passion and dedication she had for her work.  "She knew she wanted to be a nurse from the time she was a child".   - Richard Waliciki 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:    Up to $5,000

SCHOLARSHIP USE:  Tuition, books, fees, or other academic needs (excluding room and board expenses) and/or child care costs
