Jackson Community Foundation was founded in 1948 for the purpose of assisting all citizens of Jackson County, Michigan in improving the quality of their lives - both now and in the future. The Foundation does this by building permanent endowment funds to support its work as a community grant-maker and community leader.
The Jackson Community Foundation represents an open door for everyone who cares about Jackson County. It offers an opportunity for individuals to express a commitment, make a gift, reach out a helping hand, and invest in the future of the community they love.

The Jackson Legacy Program is a plan formulated by the Jackson Community Foundation to provide scholarships for qualifying Jackson County high school graduates.
The program provides students from Jackson County, who plan to attend Jackson County institutions of higher learning, with the financial capability to further their education.
