The Jackson County Community Foundation was founded in 1948 for the purpose of assisting all citizens of Jackson County, Michigan in improving the quality of their lives - both now and in the future. The Foundation does this by building permanent endowment funds to support its work as a community grant-maker and community leader.
The Community Foundation represents an open door for everyone who cares about Jackson County, Michigan. It offers an opportunity for individuals to express a commitment, make a gift, reach out a helping hand, and invest in the future of the community they love.

The2006 Jackson Community Report Card now released!
Based on the 2005 Jackson Community Report Card and emerging needs in the community, twelve areas of information have been complied for 2006. The 2006 Jackson Community Report Card integrates information from the 2002 and 2005 Jackson Community Report Cards, as well as information collected specifically for the 2006 Jackson Community Report Card. Additional topics have been added to enhance the Jackson Community Report Card, including general disability, adolescent risk-taking behaviors, the Early On special education program, general poverty, correctional facilities, and Jackson County 2-1-1 due to requests within the community.
