Jackson Legacy Scholarship

The Jackson Legacy Scholarship is an endowment fund from which the Jackson Community Foundation provides scholarships to qualifying Jackson County high school graduates who plan to attend Jackson College, Spring Arbor University, or Baker College of Jackson. Scholarship awards are dependent on the continuing availability of funds.

Renewing Students
For students who received the Jackson Legacy Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year and fulfilled the eligibility requirements, the scholarship may be renewed one time for the 2014-15 academic year.  The maximum amount of the scholarship for renewing students is $600.  (Please Note:  This is the last time the Jackson Legacy Scholarship will be renewable.)

First-Time Applicants
For students who receive the scholarship for the first time for the 2014-15 academic year, the Jackson Legacy Scholarship will not be renewable.  The maximum amount of the one-time scholarship is $1,000.  Up to 30 eligible applicants will be selected by lottery drawing.

All recipients will be required to complete 20 hours of community service.

The Jackson Legacy Scholarship uses a separate application from the Jackson Community Foundation's competitive scholarships.  However, the same log-in and password can be used to access the Jackson Legacy Scholarship application.  The application deadline is March 3, 2014 by 5 PM.  Apply now.
