Listed below are the descriptions and requirements for each individual scholarship. Each Scholarship fund has ranked, in order of scoring importance, the eligibility criteria specific to that fund.
Dennis J. Beck Memorial Scholarship
Established by the family and friends of Dennis J. Beck, this scholarship honors his belief that a young person's character, when supported through education, is the foundation of the future.
This scholarship is non-renewable. Apply now.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Ethnic minority (non-Caucasian)
• Any field of study, with special consideration
given to those pursuing a degree in Manufacturing (including any discipline used in direct support of operating a manufacturing facility)
• Demonstrate personal responsibility through
work, community or family activities
• Proof of acceptance to an accredited college,
university, vocational, or technical school

Melissa Eleanor Ernest Scholarship
This scholarship fund was established by the family and friends of Melissa Eleanor Ernest. Melissa Eleanor Ernest was anticipating a promising career as an Esthetician upon graduation from Douglas J. Aveda Institute before her tragic death.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Jackson County resident
• Adult returning to school, graduating high school
senior, or student already enrolled in an accredited institution of Cosmetology
• Full or part time enrollment
• Acceptance in an accredited institution of
Cosmetology in the United States
• Cumulative 2.0 Grade Point Average or higher
• Demonstrate financial need
