JANET C. ROCHEFORT SCHOLARSHIP FOR SINGLE MOMS

As a single mom, Janet realized the importance of education and was lucky enough to work for a company that provided educational expenses as a benefit.  Janet used the proceeds from the sale of her fabric art to fully fund this scholarship.  The fund is dedicated to single moms who need help to ensure their future and the future of their children.

 

Eligibility Requirements: 

​​   •    Resident of Jackson County, Michigan

   •    Female, single parent

   •    Graduating high school senior; student already enrolled as an

         undergraduate or adult returning learner

   •    Demonstrates financial need

   •    GPA 2.0 or higher

   •    Full or part-time enrollment

• ​​Transcript that includes grades from Fall 2022, GED Certificate of Completion; or High School Equivalency (HSE) documentation 

• Letter of Recommendation

• Proof of completing the FAFSA that shows Expected Family Contribution (EFC)

Deadline:  5 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023

Renewable:  No

Scholarship Award:  Up to $1,000.00

Scholarship Use:  Tuition & fees
