Sue Walicki Nursing Scholarship
The Sue Walicki Nursing Scholarship was established by Sue's husband, Richard Walicki, and father, Jim Winter, in honor of the passion and dedication she had for her work. "She knew she wanted to be a nurse from the time she was a child". - Richard Walicki

Eligibility Requirements:

Resident of Jackson County, Michigan

Graduating high school senior, previous recipient, student already enrolled in and taking undergraduate
classes, returning learner, student planning to attend graduate school, student already enrolled in graduate
school

Plan to start, continue, or advance education in the field of nursing or a nursing-related field (such as a Nurse
Practitioner, Mid-Wife, or Nurse Anesthetist)

Applicants currently enrolled in college in a nursing program
will be given preference.

Proof of acceptance in an accredited Nursing Program

Full or part time enrollment at an accredited Michigan college or university

Proof of financial need
Renewable: Yes, up to three times
Scholarship Award: Up to $5,000
Scholarship Use: Tuition, books, fees, other academic needs (excluding room and board expenses),
and/or child care costs
