James L. and Mary L. Geisman Future Leadership Foundation

The Scholarship's purpose is to support future leaders by easing a portion of their financial burden and enabling access to a strong educational foundation.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirement:

  • Proof of acceptance to an accredited two-year or four-year college/university, a trade school, or a certificate program (i.e. EMT, phlebotomy, etc.).

  • Level of study includes ninth grade students and above who plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college/university, a trade school, or a certificate program.

 

Who Can Apply:

  • Ninth Grade student or above

  • Graduating Senior

  • Home-school student

  • Returning Adult

  • Residency: Requirement for applicants to be a resident within a 50-mile radius of the center of Jackson.

 

Scholarship Criteria: (Criteria must be objective, non-discriminatory, and reasonably related to the purpose of the scholarship)

  • 2.0 GPA or higher

  • Full or Part-time

  • Documentation of the cost of attendance from school or program

 

Scholarship Award Amount: Up to $2,500 or up to 50% of the cost of the program

 

Scholarship Use: Tuition, books, fees, or other academic related costs.​

 

Scholarship Renewal: Scholarship recipients are eligible to re-apply for potential renewal for a maximum of four (4) times or up to 50% of the original course cost.

 

Scholarship Awards: Scholarship checks will be sent directly to the institute of higher education or to the trade school.​

***NON-TRADES APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED DURING GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP SEASON, CHECK BACK IN EARLY DECEMBER
