Officer James D. Bonneau Child Advocacy Fund

About the Fund:  City of Jackson Police Officer James Bonneau was killed in the line of duty on March 9, 2010.  He had great concern and empathy for the neglected and abused children he observed when answering calls as a law enforcement officer.  To honor Jim's service and ultimate sacrifice on behalf of the Jackson community, the Officer James D. Bonneau Child Advocacy Fund was established to help children in Jackson County.  This includes not only physical needs of children but also any emotional and/or psychological needs, regardless of whether those needs arose from physical or sexual abuse.
