Jackson Legacy Scholarship
The Jackson Legacy Scholarship is an endowment fund from which the Jackson Community Foundation provides scholarships to qualifying Jackson County high school graduates who plan to attend Jackson College, Spring Arbor University, or Baker College of Jackson. Scholarship awards are dependent on the continuing availability of funds.
Special Application Process: Complete the online JCF scholarship application and the system will determine if you qualify for this scholarship. It will not appear in the drop down list of scholarship choices on the application and does not count toward your 5 scholarships. If you ONLY want to apply for the Jackson Legacy Scholarship, skip the first 5 questions on the JCF online application.
Graduating high school senior or home-schooled student or a 12th grade Jackson County Early College student preparing to enter their 13th year working towards a certification, credential, skill set, or associates degree
Living in Jackson County or within the boundaries of a Jackson County school district
Enrolled in a Jackson County school or home school since 8th grade
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Enroll full-time (12 semester credit hours) at Jackson College, Baker College of Jackson or Spring Arbor University
Scholarship Award: $1,000. Eligible applicants will be selected by lottery drawing.
Scholarship Use: Tuition, fees, books and educational expenses
Recipient Obligation: All recipients will be required to complete 20 hours of community service
